    Tragedy struck a Monroe neighborhood, as Monroe Police report that a 16-year-old youth is dead following a shooting. Homicide is the third leading cause of death for those between ages 12 and 17, behind accidents and suicide, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
