I have been asked many times why I wanted to be mayor again, and the answer is simple... I am touched by the feelings of infirmities of the people of Monroe. I am touched by the concerns of all the people of Monroe, but especially the most vulnerable people, the elderly, and the youth. For the last four years, I have worked for the National League of Cities/SSCI (Strong Southern Cities Initiative).
