Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

Dating and marriage are goals for many. There is nothing wrong with desiring honorable and healthy relationships; the thing is, many don’t. For them, anything will do—even going outside of the will of God. I've been there, so I can surely and sincerely tell you, brother/sister, that dating or marrying outside of God’s will causes problems. Those problems can lead to unhealthy cycles, which lead to trauma and distrust. That trauma and distrust lead to fear and anxiety. This fear and anxiety lead to missed blessings and opportunities. It's just too many problems outside of God’s will!

Loneliness, desperation, just because others are doing it, age or lust are not reasons people should marry. If any of those lead you instead of the Holy Spirit of God, you’re asking for trouble. Ask God first to help you renew your mind, and as you guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23), let Him also create in you a clean heart (Psalm 51:10). Resolve any issues from the past in your life, so your future won’t be polluted with bitterness. Then wait upon the Lord. Get in His word and His will. STAY THERE, and let God give unto you what’s good for you (James 1:17).
