Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

A rash of shootings continues nationwide, and even many local communities are finding that they are not immune to the sound of gunshots. The same can be said here in the northeast region of Louisiana. In Ouachita Parish, Monroe Police were called to the Parkview Apartments on Friday, May 5, 2023, around 6:00 PM in response to a shooting. MPD would learn that two individuals were injured from the shooting. Officers (as of press time) are investigating the shooting that sent the two individuals to a local hospital. The two individuals were said to have had non-threatening wounds. The Monroe Dispatch will report any new information concerning this latest incident as it becomes available.
