Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

A Veterans' celebration was held at Roy Shelling Elementary School in Monroe, LA honoring veterans on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Veterans were provided with a meal, prizes, and praised for their service. Mrs. Nicki McFarland was one of many Vets honored. Guest speaker was Veteran Rev. O.W. Billups of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Monroe, LA. Special thanks to Coney Island Connection, Progressive Bank, TRIO Program, Leonardo McClinton, Ella Tarver, Barbara McHenry, and Sharon McHenry Robinson.
