Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

My sister Bonnie called me Sunday, August 14, 2022, distraught about the senseless killing of one of their beloved 'church babies' who everybody loved.you may have already seen on ABC, NBC, and other media outlets, national model, 24-year-old Greg Shead, came home from California Saturday, August 13, 2022, to Baytown, TX to visit his dad and his grandparents, Jesse and Barbara Shead, who raised him. He was excited about bringing his girlfriend to meet them. Later that same night, the couple went to a bowling alley. When it closed, a fight broke out in the parking lot, and around 1:20 AM, a man fatally shot Greg before speeding off in a white SUV. Now there are two sets of families and friends who are suffering. Many of us over the years have stories about the pain being so unbearable to some sufferers that they have suffered strokes, heart attacks, suicide, nervous breakdowns, severe depression, etc. So, in fact, when the killer killed whomever at that specific time, they were responsible for all of the above-mentioned afflictions. When you kill one, you may kill many, some in your own family, so please think of those who may love you before you act because even though now you are a murderer, your family suffers too when they lose you to prison or sometimes death. Dead people don't get back up like they do in video games. Don't let a few angry, emotional moments destroy many people, including yourself. Many stories are circulating about what happened, but that does not matter because someone who could be living is no longer alive. Please keep the Shead family and other families lifted in prayer, including Greg's adoring, hurting church family, Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Baytown, TX, especially Jesse and Barbara Shead.
