Irma Faye Robinson-Griffin was born September 14, 1954 to Mrs. Lena Robinson Carter of Monroe, LA and the late Jack Ashley of Rayville, LA. Irma was mostly known and referred to as "Faye". She transitioned from this earthly life on February 6, 2021. Irma attended Eula D. Britton School where she befriended life long friends. Irma "Faye" accepted Christ at an early age. She had her own unique relationship with the Lord. Irma attended Rankin Chapel AME Church during her earlier years. Later she attended Rayville Baptist Christian Fellowship Church under the leadership of Rev. Wilbur Saucer until her departure. Irma was married to the late Robert Lee Griffin on June 25, 1969 and to this union, two children were born: one daughter - Angelia Griffin of Rayville, LA, and one son - Brandon Griffin of Wichita, KS. She later had two more children, not of this union but with a long-time friend, Michael Anthony Jones, two daughters were born - Sherakita Griffin and Antionette Robinson both of Monroe, LA.

Irma was employed by the Branch, the Hightower, the Clarton, LaFleur families, and University Health of Monroe, LA (formerly known as E. A. Conway). She was employed there for l2 years until her retirement. Irma was hardworking, patient, understanding, a perfect loving mother, grandmother, sister, a precious daughter, and a friend to all.

She is preceded in death by Jack Ashley; her husband, Robert Lee Griffin; brother, Albert Carter Jr.; grandchild, Rebmarrious W. Williams; grandmother, Maty Robinson; aunt, Ethel Ree Robinson; and sister, Fannie Williams.

Irma leaves to cherish her memories four children - Angelia Griffin, Rayville, LA, Brandon Griffin, Wichita, KS, Sherakita Grffin, and Antionette Robinson, Monroe, LA; her mother, Lena Robinson Carter Monroe, LA; four sisters, Annie Ruth Robinson, Mary Wesley, and Bernestein Robinson Monroe, LA, Doreatha Jarris Dallas, TX; longtime special friend, Michael Anthony Jones, five grandchildren - Curtavion Handy, Clayton Washington, Monroe, LA, Promise Griffin, Olivia Griffin and Deon Grey, Pine Bluff, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Irma Faye Robinson-Griffin's services were on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at New Direction Church in Rayville, LA.
