Wait No More

This time last year we mourned the death of famed basketball star Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and several others who shared a helicopter ride that ended tragically. The news of Kobe's untimely death reverberated around the globe, proving that his legacy transcended beyond his record as a basketball star. His skillful work as an athlete initially drew fans but his work ethic is what really kept people's attention. He left the world with the Mamba Mentality which was his own personal mantra; inspiring everyone to continually strive to be their very best version of themselves. As sad as his death was, he lived a tremendous inspirational life. What is most admirable is that he left no stone unturned. He did many things and to all of them he did with much enthusiasm and desire to do it the best he could. When his best wasn't good enough, he put his head down and developed the necessary skills to get better. He wrote a book, produced a movie (which won an Oscar), established a top tier basketball program for girls, and had begun establishing many other business ventures. His death served as a reminder that we are all on borrowed time. If you needed a sign, this is it. Don't wait to show up sober. Don't wait to start that new career. Don't wait until you feel like people will accept you. Don't wait to be great! Show up in your life right now the way God commands you. Editor's Note: Thank you Mr. Kenneth Moorehead Monroe LA for the kind words shared with me - you truly showed up right on time! Kudos to you!
