KILLER "HE HAD IT COMING"...

October 15, 2020

Certainly, everyone wants to offer to help teens who find themselves facing a life sentence for taking another person's life, but what kind of help can be offered to a killer who appears to be cold-blooded and states that the victim "had it coming".

There is nothing more frightening than a teen killer who is transformed into a hardened criminal and shows absolutely no remorse for a crime he committed. He is even ready to lose his own life for committing the murder. A killer without remorse is certainly devoid of empathy. There is no apology to the families of the victims. It is like they received sick, twisted gratification for taking a life.

One may start to wonder and look back on the life of the actual killer, this person who pulled the trigger and find out that as a young boy, he was a good student in elementary school. He went to church on Sundays. As he grew into his adolescent years, he started to become withdrawn, but he was not a troublemaker in school, so no one paid attention.

By the time he got into high school, he missed a lot of days from school until around the second semester of his 11th grade year, he did not show up at school at all. He was considered a drop-out and his life took a complete spin into a life of crime.

He did a few robberies without getting caught. He entered into the drug world where he eventually became a dealer and respected on the street to the point that everyone knew that he was not to be crossed, and no one should ever mess with his money.

In this life, when a drug deal goes bad, it is either kill or be killed. In spite of that understanding, many guys regretted having to shoot or kill another person and ultimately show some remorse. When this particular teen killed and showed no remorse, the system still has an obligation to offer him some counseling. Some counselors state that this type of prisoner has to sit it out for a while and get a taste of incarceration before he is open for counseling assistance.

Unfortunately, there are a few of this "no remorse" type who get into the system and get into more trouble, and some even end up losing their lives behind bars.

Even though this teen came into the system with a hard-insensitive demeanor, he deserves a chance to turn his life around, to show remorse for his actions and see if a second chance at life is possible for him.

The system cannot give up on any teen who has been in a life of crime.
