William Joe Green

"The Lord Is My Shepherd, I Shall Not Want." Psalms 23:1 Brother William Green, Jr. was born on October 5, 1950 in Monroe, Louisiana to Mr. William Green, Sr., and Mrs. Louise Moore Green. He was baptized at an early age by Reverend C. L. Simmons. He was a lifetime member of the Beth Eden Missionary Baptist Church. William graduated in 1968 from Carroll High School. In 1970 he joined the U. S. Army. After his discharge from the military, he was employed as a postman for the U. S. Postal Service. He was married in 1975. William went home to be with the Lord Saturday April 18, 2020. To that union two children were born who preceded him in death. One brother, John Green, preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, William Sr. and Louise Green; sisters, Lula Mae Green and Patricia Zeigler {Willie}, brothers, Robert Lee Green {Zenna} of Washington, D.C. and Pastor Ronald D. Green, Sr. {Marilyn}, and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, church family, other relatives, loved ones and friends. Funeral services are Friday April 24, 2020, 11am at Hester Central State Funeral Home in Monroe LA. Burial is at Richwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hester Funeral Home.
