Who Is James E. (Jamie) Mayo?

 

Mayor Jamie Mayo

Jamie Mayo is a native of Morehouse Parish and a citizen of Monroe for over 40 years. He is responsible and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Mayo's work ethic and talent earned him a college basketball scholarship in three sports (football, basketball, and baseball). He accepted a basketball scholarship to ULM, formerly NLU. He earned a BBA degree from ULM and used his experience to work in corporate America for over 20 years and had a small business for 17 years. His work in government spans as a volunteer board member, city councilman, and currently the proud Mayor of Monroe.
