It was a shock that many had not a clue and others already knew at Wossman High School. At Monroe City School Board's latest meeting, board members voted to name the new Wossman fieldhouse which is still under construction for Pat Williams, a former Wossman football player/ NFL pro. Many Wossman Alumni who knew or may have known of the vote wanted to name the new Wossman fieldhouse for former Wossman football coach Ray Gambino, if not split the name between the two which is a moot issue since School Board member Brandon Johnson made the motion and the vote was 7-0. Many in the community had no idea of the naming, while its alleged that Johnson took upon himself to name the fieldhouse in honor of Williams. Members of the community are outraged that they didn't get the to give any input. The quick secret vote has caused a rife between the alumni. There are three sides to every story. This is one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes the other or another side of this story
