According to a law enforcement, deputies from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's office (OPSO) recently arrested a woman on a charge of Attempted Second-Degree Murder. The suspect, identified as Jakala McGee, is alleged to have started a physical altercation with another woman at a residence on Harvester Dr. in Richwood. According to OPSO, after the altercation ended, McGee allegedly told the victim that she "was going to kill her" and left the residence. The report states that McGee returned about 10 minutes later, allegedly approached the victim armed with a handgun, and began shooting at her inside the residence. The encounter was reportedly captured on camera. McGee was arrested and booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center (OCC) on August 1, 2024.
