Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

Rev. Eddie Ray Jackson passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, to join the Lord for eternity. He served as the pastor of St. Peter Baptist Church in Columbia, LA, until his passing. Rev. Jackson's spiritual journey began and continued at Zion Spring Missionary Baptist Church. He started his academic journey at Lincoln Elementary and graduated from Carroll High School. For many years, he worked at Ochsner LSU Monroe, formerly E.A. Conway Hospital. Rev. Jackson was highly regarded for his roots in the Booker T. Community. His homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, 11:00 AM at Faith Harvest Baptist Church in Monroe, LA. Visitation is 4:00 - 6:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2024, at Smith Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.
