Norman Lee Felton was born on September 21, 1943, in Monroe, LA, the sixth of ten children born to Rev. Arthur Felton Sr. and Bessie Scott Felton. After graduating from Carroll High School in Monroe, LA, in 1964, he served in the US Army from 1964 to 1967. In 1967, Norman relocated to San Diego, CA, where he met and married Alice Conley. His faith was central to his life, having accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and being baptized in the Ouachita River in 1955.
