Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

The Eula D. Britton High School Class of 1966 in Rayville, LA, with seven classmates, Gloria Jena McCoy, Bobbie Coleman, Thelma McKay, Annie R. Stewart Staten, Clementine Vaughn, Jim Burnette, From Sword to Pen author Art "Silver Fox" Edwards, and guests Vera and Vienna Smith, gathered at a local Monroe restaurant on December 30, 2023. The 1966 classmates praised God, enjoyed great food, and spent a lot of time reminiscing and recalling events that made them laugh. When it was time to depart, hugs were exchanged all around, and the joy on the classmates' faces was evident. It was clear, though unspoken, that the joy the 1966 classmates shared was something the world didn't give them and something the world would never be able to take away.
