Stop the Violence

Who's Next to Cry or Die

December 14, 2023

God has shown us compassion and brought us all back together to work through rain, floods, and hail. "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" is one of the commandments hung by all the law and the prophets. What does it mean to love yourself? Loving yourself means accepting yourself and coming to terms with unconditional self-acceptance. It does not mean being arrogant, conceited, or thinking you are better than anyone else. It means having a healthy regard for yourself knowing you are a worthy human being. It is essential to understand you are not perfect; we all have strengths and weaknesses. Through Jesus Christ, we possess the power to improve ourselves. You are unique with specific talents and abilities to contribute, and we need to develop those talents further. You have a responsibility to appreciate and discover yourself. Waiting on someone else's approval is not in your best interest. It is essential to be the best you can be by investing and working on personal growth and development. You have the spiritual capability to rise above conditions and obstacles in your way. Taking care of yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally is crucial. Nurture your body, mind, and spirit to generate feelings of worthiness and accomplishment. Take care of your body by eating well, exercising, and getting plenty of rest. Your mind needs nourishment and exercise; stimulate it by learning new and interesting things. Keeping your mind active helps prevent Alzheimer's, dementia, and certain old age diseases. Your spirit must also be cared for. Neglecting the spirit while caring for the mind and body leads to imbalance, feeling that something is missing from your life. Strive to be the best you can be to achieve your goals. Know yourself and be true to yourself. Rejuvenating your spirit helps you deal with the stress and challenges of life, stops the violence in your life, and enables you to love your neighbor. Change your surroundings and go to God in prayer. Stop the violence, say no to drugs, and remove the guns. Love yourself! Show love to your neighbor and yourself through all the flooding and rain. Who's next to die or cry? Stop the violence against your neighbor and yourselves!
