Stop the Violence

Who's Next to Cry or Die?

December 7, 2023

How many of you are planning on going to the military, getting a job, going to college, or just planning on playing sports after high school? The rules in the work place are changing. The Army will announce a ban on tattoos below elbows and knees. City and companies are banning visible tattoos in work places, body piercing, different hair styles, and hair of more than one color. You are failing a job interview before you even get to speak by walking in looking and dressing a certain way. States and employers are setting different dress, hair, tattoos and body piercing codes every day. If the interviewer doesn't tell and give you a chance to make adjustments. Your life style will hinder you from landing a job and start a decline in life that will have a domino effect which can possibly cause you to be homeless. Arkansas passed a tattoo restriction body modification bill on non-traditional body art and skin implants 26-4. Employer rights take precedent over the employees’ display of tattoos and piercing. While the employee may enjoy displaying important images on their bodies, the court consistently rules that the employer has the right to set boundaries and policies on how much body art an employee may display. Robert v. Ward heard in the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, found that employers can impose dress and appearance policies, including regulating tattoo displays, provided the policies are handled in an equitable fashion. Change your surroundings and stop the violence against yourself. What's in your future, will you cry or die by your actions? Love yourself, stop the violence against yourself because it can be corrected.
