No Struggle, No Progress
Officers of the Monroe Police Dept. arrested a suspect who was alleged to have been involved in an automobile chase where shots were fired during the encounter. Officers would arrest a suspect identified as 36-year-old Isaac C. Bradley as the driver of one of the vehicles involved in a high-speed chase. According to the affidavit filed by officers, officers were on patrol in the area of Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive near the vicinity of Powell and Renwick Streets. They received a call that gunshots came from a dark-colored Dodge Charger. Officers were also advised that the Charger was allegedly chasing a pick-up truck on Milhaven Road near Texas Ave. at a high rate of speed. Officers were able to visually observe the Dodge Charger traveling on Walnut Street when the driver stopped his vehicle and fled from the scene. Officers searched the area and made contact with the suspect when he was found hiding in the bed of a parked pick-up truck. After making a valid identification of Bradley, he was advised of his Miranda Rights. According to the report, Bradley is alleged to have told officers that he became nervous after witnessing multiple officers traveling behind him. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle that Bradley was driving and discovered five spent shell casings on the front floorboard and two spent shell casings on the back floorboard. The vehicle had bullet holes in its exterior. The report also indicated that a loaded Glock 43x was discovered in the vehicle. Officers say that a gunshot residue kit was conducted on Bradley and it reportedly had positive results. Officers would arrest Bradley and charge him with Illegal Use of Weapons, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies.
