Ahmed "Coach Kipp" Wright Passes

Ahmed Wright, aka Coach Kipp, passed on October 29, 2023 at Ochsner in New Orleans due to heart failure. He was a 1992 Ouachita High School graduate. Brother Ahmed was a student of Fruit of Islam (FOI), Captain and trainer of the men at Muhammad Mosque #99. Brother Ahmed was also a well-known pee wee football coach in south Monroe. You could always find Brother Ahmed selling the Final Call newspaper on Winnsboro Rd. in Monroe, LA. He loved coaching and developing young men and helping to steer them in the right direction. "Brother Ahmed was a brother and soldier who loved his people. He will be missed by all who knew him. I thank Allah for having had an opportunity to labor with my brother," said Student Minister Verbon Muhammad. He is survived by two sons, one sister, and a host of relatives and his extended family of brothers and sisters in the Nation of Islam. His Janazah (funeral) will be held at Logtown Baptist Church in Monroe, LA on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Regional officials will attend the Janazah; Student Regional Captain Stephen Muhammad and Student Regional Minister Abdul Haleem Muhammad will perform the Janazah service.
