Sickle Cell 2023 - Donna Thaxton, Executive Director of NELA Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation greeted guests Lance and Brigette Griffith.
The Northeast Louisiana Sickle Anemia Foundation held its 42nd Annual Banquet on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Monroe Civic Center, celebrating a memorable occasion for its members and supporters. The well-attended fundraiser featured the Honorable State Representative Tammy T. Phelps of District 3 as its guest keynote speaker. "Doing Our B.E.S.T. for Sickle Cell" was the theme for the banquet with a purpose.
