Eva M. Hunter Jackson was the second child of eight children born to the late Selma and Earlean Hunter on their family farm in Oak Ridge, Louisiana where her childhood was flavored with many wonderful experiences. At an early age, she was baptized at the Alexander No. 1 Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, LA and later united with the Rose of Sharon Baptist Church in Monroe LA under the leadership of the late Reverend J.
