Mayo/Supporters Gear Up for Election

Before a packed house of fired-up supporters, former mayor Jamie Mayo was met with cheers and chants of " We want Mayo back" as he officially announced his candidacy for Mayor of Monroe for the 2024 spring election on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the Tabatorium in Monroe, LA. Mayo emphasized his three major priorities as economic development, crime, and education, in which a comprehensive plan is being finalized. The night ended with local pastors and ministers praying for the Mayo family.
