Bennie Ruth Myles Emerson, 79, of Monroe, LA, passed away from a lengthy illness on August 23, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Richardson Funeral Home in Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucille Myles, daughter, Helen "Lisa" Emerson, and Anthony Emerson; siblings, Vera Myles Carroll (Calvin), Beatrice Myles Pargoud (Louis), Lucille Myles Smith, John Myles, Jr. (Patricia), and Willie Myles Lawrence (Willis). She will forever be remembered by her children - Sylvia Emerson Nelson (Albert), Grant Emerson, Jr., Tracy Emerson, and Sierra Myles; brother, Bernard Myles (Connie). Cherishing precious memories are her grandchildren Na'Tisha Nelson Natt (Charles), Krishundra Nelson, Donnell Myles, Zyhi'Khameren Myles, Jhuntrez Myles, Jaylyn Myles, Zion King Myles, Paul'laziah Hollins, and Portia Jones. She will also be lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren Laila Marie Natt, Ava Leigh Natt, and Lyric Jones, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
