BLACK RODEO GROWS STRONGER
A record crowd of rodeo fans attended the annual Bayou Black Open Rodeo at the Monroe Civic Center Arena on Saturday, August 26, 2023. They enjoyed over 300 cowboys and cowgirls from five states displaying their talents in bull riding and calf roping among other events. Former mayor Jamie Mayo's vision started over 20 years ago but the current administration has carried the baton.
