The 40th Rose of Sharon Baptist Church Millard Dean Lee Memorial Scholarship Program was held on Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Monroe LA The program honored Scholastic Achievers and Graduates for the 2022 – 2023 school year. Introduction of honorees was done by Sister Constance Wright. Devotion was done by the Masons of Moses Lodge #19 and the Order of Eastern Star (Guiding Light 7A and Dorcas #20). The Welcome was done by one of the members of the first graduating class, Sister Rokeya Myles. Sister Joyce Smith of Rayville captured everyone's attention with her medley, "Believe in Yourself" and "Great is Thy Faithfulness". Words of Encouragement were done by Dr. Thelbert Snowden, Jr. Dr. Snowden was a 2000 recipient of the Millard Dean Lee Memorial Scholarship. He currently serves as Chief of Staff to the President/Transformation Officer at Morehouse College. Dr. Snowden encouraged the honorees to continue to keep God first.

Photo Miller Dean 1-2022 – 2023 graduates were: Kameron Hollins (Pre-K), Bryson Anderson (Kindergarten), Jayden Hubbard and Noah Lewis (6th Grade) and Quentasia Horton (High School). Scholastic Achievers (3.0 – 3.9 are: Bryson Anderson, Anthony Holmes, Quentasia Horton, Aiden Johnson, Micah Johnson, Noah Lewis, Melanie Myles and Tyriella Williams. Scholastic Achievers with a 4.0. were Khloe' Sheridan and Edan Wilson.
