Speed Capital's "Mamba" Squad

RJ West

RJ West, a 12-year-old J.S. Clark Elementary student-athlete, has been selected to participate in the Speed Capital's International "Mamba" Squad. Elite young athletes from around the nation were chosen for this team based on their athletic performance, capacity to serve as role models for younger athletes, and overall personalities. The six-time national champion and 13-time All-American just returned from Toronto, CA, after competing in the Flying Angels track club's annual international track meet, July 6 - 11, 2023. He ran the boys' 13U 100-meter dash in 12.04 seconds, shattering the previous record. The following week RJ traveled to Orlando, FL, where he competed in the AAU National Club championship and won the 12-year-old boys' 100-meter dash with a time of 12.01 seconds.
