Shots Ring, Residents Fearful

 


Should Black residents live in fear as shots allegedly ring out in their neighborhood, randomly keeping them in constant fear for their lives? No one should live in fear, but many residents in Kingsway Apartments in Monroe, LA think with many worries that their family or friends will be a victim of an errant bullet. It is very difficult to live in fear in your own community, not knowing when you step or sit outside if bullets will be fired. Early Monday, July 10, 2023, shots allegedly rang out through the apartment complex damaging cars. Many were awakened by the loud gunfire, not even being able to pray. Neighbors wonder when something will be done so they can live in peace rather than fear. There is a B.A.L.M. in Monroe, LA, a spiritual solution to a social problem.
