Juneteenth – Mrs. Jessie Mae Turner, seen with Annie Staten and Elaine Coleman, was one of the many Senior honorees.
Celebrating Our Roots Juneteenth Celebration was held in Rayville, LA at the Rayville Rosenwald Eula D. Brritton Alumni Center on Monday, June 19, 2023. There were Senior Citizens' recognition, bike giveaways, free brown bag lunches, and artifacts from the past displayed. Special performances from the Rayville High School Drumline and Neville Boom Boom Club were among the Juneteenth highlights.
