Melvin Morrison Jacobs transitioned on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Jacobs, and her parents, Nathan and Lily Morrison. Melvin was born in Mer Rouge, LA. She attended Delta High School and Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM). Melvin was a retiree of the Monroe City School Board. She was a faithful member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church where she was the President of the Usher Ministry.
