Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Deputies responded to a morning call on Monday, May 22, 2023, about a stabling at the Town and Country apartment complex. When deputies arrived, they discovered a male victim who, from an updated report, was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim had not been identified until the next of kin could be notified. According to deputies, a person of interest was in their custody. Later in the afternoon, deputies released information identifying the victim as 20-year-old Dcameron Demontreal Wilmore. Officers say that Wilmore entered the apartment where the incident occurred without permission. An altercation between Wilmore and the occupant ensued, resulting in Wilmore being fatally stabbed. Deputies have not announced an arrest at this time as the investigation is continuing. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story.
