Dilcie Green began recruiting students to Southern University in 1965. The Maxwell House College Fair came to Detroit, MI every year, and Green would go and assist the staff from SU. Green has recruited over 5000 plus students to SU for over 58 years. She is a SU Football season ticket holder and always arrives in Baton Rouge on Thursdays before the football game to go to the different academic departments and check on students.
