Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, - Omicron Iota Omega Chapter presents its 115th Annual Founders’ Day and CAMEO Awards Program on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:30 PM at the West Monroe Convention Center, 901 Ridge Ave., West Monroe LA . Founders’ Day is an annual, international day recognizing and celebrating the founding members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Dr. Valerie Fields, Vice President of Student Affairs, University of Louisiana Monroe, will serve as the program’s keynote speaker. CAMEO, the Chapter’s signature event, embodies the Sorority’s 115-year-old founding principle: “Service to all Mankind.” Each year, Omicron Iota Omega Chapter honors individuals in the community who render service in the areas of Community, the Arts, Medicine, Education and Organization. “Service is the cornerstone to a thriving community”, says Dr. Gloria George. This year’s honorees are Community Service: Attorney Eddie Clark, Arts: Ms. Jessica DeTiege, Medicine: Dr. Curtis Sanders, Education: Mrs. Mary H. Tucker Organization: Grace Place Ministries, Inc. Mrs. Rhonda Grace, Founder and Mrs. Misty Loe, Executive Director
