Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

Hearts are saddened at the passing of Sarah Allen on Friday, February 17, 2023. Sarah was a pillar in the Monroe community. She was a graduate of Little Flower Academy and Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Sarah was an educator at Richwood and West Monroe High Schools. She was a role model for many and was always seen impeccably dressed. Sarah was a member of Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, where she was a lector. She also served her church in many other capacities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Allen. Her son Walter, daughter Angela, and grandchildren remain to cherish her memory and continue her legacy. Her funeral services are incomplete as of press time and will be announced from the funeral home.
