Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

What a time, what a time! Tawanna James and The Gloria Chorus were blessed and favored to present a Black History Cantata once again. This year's theme was "How Can We Not Keep Singing?" The spirit-filled event was held at Greater New Antioch Baptist Church on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Many attendees were present to show their support for the Cantata and the 2023 Pillar of Music Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Pastor Clarence Jackson, Dr. Helen James, Mr. Andrew Hill, Mrs. Mildred Turner (represented by her son Mr. Ronnie Turner, Sr.), Mr. Elbert "Chucky" Johnson, and Pastor Seane T. Kelley.
