Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. A tattoo to some is glorified bodywork. A piece of art, if you will. They are dazzling to the eye with all of the intricacies and skills that a tattoo artist utilizes in their craft to ensure that the customer is satisfied with the work. Depending on the circumstances, they are not always pleasing to the eye. In an incident reported by Monroe Police, it appears that someone saw a tattoo that they didn't like. According to MPD, officers went to Ochsner LSU Health-Monroe Medical Center to investigate a stabbing report. When officers arrived, they made contact with an individual who told them that a female, identified as 32-year-old Jessica Cahill had allegedly stabbed someone. The witness, who was not identified, reportedly told officers that Cahill and the unidentified victim were in a physical altercation when the alleged stabbing occurred. According to MPD, Cahill was upset with the victim because he had a tattoo with the name of another woman on his body. Officers would learn that, as the witness tried to break up the altercation between the alleged victim and Cahill, police say that Cahill attempted to stab the witness in the torso. When officers spoke to the victim, who had another woman's name on his body, he told officers that Cahill did not stab him. MPD also said that while getting information from the witness, Cahill was allegedly seen driving past the hospital. Officers went after Cahill and initiated a traffic stop of Cahill at the intersection of Malvern and South Grand. During the traffic stop, Cahill was placed in handcuffs. Police say that a kitchen knife was found in Cahill's vehicle. Cahill was then transported to Ouachita Correctional Center(OCC). Cahill was charged with Aggravated Domestic Abuse Battery and Aggravated Assault with bond set at $10,000.
