Ora Lee Brass was born on April 17, 1921, in Wisner, LA, to Saul and Neller Scott-Brass, who both passed away before her. In the 1940s, Ms. Brass moved to Monroe, LA, where she spent many years operating her salon adjacent to the house as a qualified beautician. Former customers continue to rave about how enthusiastic she was when styling their hair and how much fun it was to be in her company.
