Disclaimer: All persons are innocent until proven guilty. In the world in which we live, there has never been something for nothing. The society we live in is capitalistic. The word free has plagued new generations of Blacks because some contend they can get things for free without suffering the consequences of their harmful actions. Nothing is truly free. Someone always has to pay either by taxes or other means for "free stuff". According to police reports, another shooting has occurred in Monroe, LA, where a store clerk at a Monroe Dollar Store has been arrested for shooting and killing an armed robber. The shooting occurred at the Dollar General Store at 711 S. 8th St. in Monroe, LA, on January 8, 2023, where the armed robbery suspect was allegedly shot. A customer was also shot in the store and was treated and released from the hospital. The robbery suspect Monquarious D. Thomas was found outside the store, where he died. The robbery money was found under the suspect. Police arrested store clerk Rafus L. Anderson after he told police what happened at the store. This was the store's sixth robbery. The store clerk was arrested and charged with manslaughter following the shooting. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
