Food Stamp Card Scuffle

Disclaimer: All persons are presumed guilty until proven innocent. One of the commandments that God instructed His people to follow was to “honor their father and mother, that their days may be long". This is one commandment that so many of us dare not break. The family structure of husband, wife, and child is one of the building blocks of a strong community, as it has been since God established the Jews as His people. Disrespect in any manner towards parents was and is a sin against God, subject to strict punishment. That was one thing old schoolers learned back in the day, as it was passed down through the generations. Unfortunately, not all children seem to follow that command. According to Monroe Police, officers responded to a South St. residence concerning a domestic disturbance. When officers contacted the victim, they were told that the victim’s daughter allegedly assaulted the mother - over a food stamp card.

The daughter, 18-year-old Sha’meka Ronesha White, got into “a scuffle” over the food stamp card, police said. White allegedly held her mother against her will during the scuffle, police say. Police said that White admitted to the incident and that she did assault her mother. White was then arrested and transported to (OCC) the Ouachita Correctional Center. White was charged with Domestic Abuse Battery. Love and honor your parents as God would want us to do.
