Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

A strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept. For some, it takes a while to find your passion and that’s perfectly okay. Personally, I’ve been struggling lately to figure out what my passion is and how to find it. I’ll be going off to college soon, and I don’t have any idea what my passion is. However, I stumbled upon a quote recently that read: “If you’re contemplating on finishing something or doing something because of how long it’ll take, remember, you’ll be the same age in 5 years no matter what.” This stood out to me because I feel like what holds most of us back are time and the fear of failure, therefore we don’t pursue our passions. I believe that if we stopped living in fear and regret and just did what we wanted to do, our lives would be better, and our passions would come to us more easily. I challenge you all today to think about what you are doing and ask yourself, is this truly my passion? If it not, no matter how old you are, don’t be afraid to step out there and accomplish what matters most to you. Don’t be afraid to live and operate within your passion.
