Anniero Walker, Jr., 82, was born on May 14, 1940, in Columbia, VA, to the late Anniero Walker, Sr., and Alma Carrington Walker. Anniero transitioned on September 27, 2022 to his forever home. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at Locust Grove Baptist Church in Columbia, LA. He maintained his relationship with God throughout his life and became a member of the Greater Flowery Mount Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He depended on his faith in God and belief in hard work. Anniero was preceded in death by his daughters, Vanessa Walker and Sharon Walker, and his son, David Lee Walker, Sr. (Teresa Walker). He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of fifty-four years, Gracie Walker; sons - Vernon Higgins, Sr. (Iresia), Andrew Walker, and Marcus Walker; daughter, Ruby Butler; sister, Ella Mae Walker; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services are Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Greater Flowery Mount Baptist Church, 600 Wood St. in Monroe, LA. Visitation is Friday, October 7, 2022, 3:30 - 5:30 PM at McFarland Funeral Companies in Monroe, LA.
