O.C.'s Cherished Memory

O.C. Willis, Jr. was a member of the Solomon Temple Baptist Church in Monroe, LA. O.C. attended and graduated from Richwood High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Oakland, CA, and overseas in Korea. Willis remained on active duty for three years, receiving a commendation as an expert marksman. He was honorably discharged in 1977. After his time serving the country was complete, he relocated back to Monroe and was employed with the Monroe City School District's maintenance department, where he retired after serving 30 years.
