Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. A shooting in North Monroe on Friday, June 24, 2022 had an unfortunate and tragic end. According to police reports, an argument developed between several individuals on Loop Road not far from US Hwy 165. Belle Bayou Apartment Complex is normally a quiet area nearby schools, homes, and businesses. Around 3:30 PM Police revealed that an argument in the apartment complex's parking lot around 3:00 PM that day led to two people being shot. When officers arrived, they found the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. They arrested Nicholas Webb, the alleged shooter. The unidentified victims were taken to a local hospital. One victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but the other victim succumbed to their wounds. Quynton T. Muse was identified and named as the victim who died. As of press time, MPD has not revealed the reason behind the shooting, but Webb was arrested in connection with the shooting and is in custody. He was charged with one count of Second-Degree Murder and one count of Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
