The Monroe City School Board, on November 9, 2021, voted to have Carroll High School Gymnasium in Monroe LA dedicated to the late Coach Jimmy Jones, son of Goldman Jones Sr. and Hattie Mae Jones. The letters were placed on the gymnasium June 27, 2022. During Jimmy Jones' tenure as the Carroll High School Boys Basketball Coach, he had the honor of coaching phenomenal student-athletes in Louisiana, received Head Coach of the District 14 times, High School Coach of the Year 14 times, Head Coach of the Year for the State of Louisiana in 4-A, 1982 State Champions and Undefeated in the State of Loui...
