Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

On May 25, 2022, Wossman High School in Monroe LA celebrated their first Senior Seat Ceremony. Wossman Principal Dr. Harrington Watson III had a vision for his students to do something different than just taking a seat. After sharing his vision with Jacey Keys, she talked with other classmates s Shelby Wright, Nailah Galbert, Amari Lee, and Langston Saulsberry to help move their class to the next level. Dr. Watson charged the students with the responsibilities of being a Senior in the Class of 2023. He expressed that younger students will look to them for guidance and the tone they set will be how Wossman High School is viewed amongst their peers for years to come. In addition, these students were challenged by their classmates to exemplify leadership, integrity, confidence, dignity, and pride. Class of 2023 is Dr. Watson’s first 4-year class and he is proud of their work.
