How much is clean water worth? Ask those who deal with brown water yet still pay hefty water bills. Everything has a price tag, and the price for everything is skyrocketing especially clean water. The city of Monroe has increased water and sewer rates through city ordinances Tl387 and Tl838, enacted on March 27, 2018, according to the annual Consumer Price Index. The June water bill [JD1] will show the new rates based on water minimum usage and meter size. Sewer rates will increase from $3.88 to $4.04 per one thousand gallons.
