Shootings Spiral

Mothers and families are crying while shootings continue. Many hope they won't happen, yet there seems to be no end. Death is a person's final moment because they can only be remembered thereafter. Shootings are devastating; even if someone survives, they are left with injuries and mental trauma that can for a lifetime. According to police reports, West Monroe Police responded to a shooting on South Second St., finding a victim shot in the abdomen and hand. Witnesses gave police a description of suspect Jerry L. Morrison, 19, who was identified by photo as a person at the residence with the victim. Witnesses reported to police the victim went into the backyard, and the suspect began shooting. The suspect was arrested and charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Violating a Protective Order, and Possession of CDS-1. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story.
