Solomon Lovell Riley, Jr. was born on June 25, 1935 in Monroe LA. He was the only child born to the union of Solomon Lovell Riley, Dr. and Gladys Brooks. He spent his formative years in Monroe at Little Flower Catholic School. Upon graduation he enrolled at Xavier University in New Orleans LA. Leaving after two years of study, Sol joined the U.S. Air Force. Upon completing a tour of duty, he returned to Xavier graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Medicine in 1960, then entering Creighton University Medical School in Omaha NB completing a residency in medic...
