Fatal Wreck

A wreck involving an 18-wheeler on Interstate 10 in Beaumont, TX claimed the life of Emma Brooks, 67 of Bastrop, LA on Monday, April 11, 2022. According to police reports, an 18-wheeler went over the guardrail on Interstate 10 near the downtown Beaumont exit, hitting a black Escalade head-on. An investigation showed the 18-wheeler was traveling eastbound on I-10 in the left travel lane, striking the concrete divider and continuing into the westbound, crashing head-on with a black Cadillac Escalade traveling westbound.
