I sometimes find it hard to believe how much technology has evolved over the past 20 years. In 2002, popular cell phones like Nokia or Motorola made the convenience of communication more accessible to the masses. Today we have moved past the technology of yesterday into video conferencing, dropping locations, and q&r sharing. With advancements in technology come upgrades for a strong reliable network.

Over the past 10 years telecommunications companies have been busy installing more fiber optic lines below ground. Those wires all support a network that can withstand

a multitude of digital activities.

We have now reached the 5G era of wireless network technology. 5G is touted to be better and faster than all previous wireless networks.

5G works by producing electromagnetic radiation. That radiation helps transmit frequencies quickly.

Unfortunately for us that technology may come at a price as some researchers suggest radiation produced by communications towers and cell phones can be a determent to humans. More than 375 scientists and doctors submitted an appeal to the European Union in 2017 requesting a hault on 5G deployment until an accurate evaluation of its potential negative effects were tested. Before then in 2011 the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified RF radiation in the frequency range of 30kHz to 300 GHz to be a possible human carcinogen.

So what does this mean for us? Whether conspiracy or not, one can never be too cautious about health concerns. For now that may look like monitoring social media activity and screen time. Just like technology we as people are continually evolving and need updates to work efficiently. There will more to question in the 2-4.
